Michael
Horton has been an actor in Los Angeles for over 25 years. He has
appeared in over 150 network television shows, a dozen films, many
movies of the week and over 300 radio and TV commercials.
About 10 years ago, Michael began thinking that there was more to life
than acting, and considered directing as a possible 2nd career. Yet, as
many so often do, did nothing about it.
Shortly after Apple announced Final Cut Pro was shipping to the public,
Michael decided that it was indeed time to plunge into the world of
digital filmmaking and NLE, and went out and mortgaged his families
future on a FCP NLE system and a VX1000 camcorder. He has been a happy
man ever since. Just ask his Wife.
Since July of 1999, Michael has cut a PSA for a Non Profit
Organization, directed and cut a music video about handicapped children
and horse therapy, co directed and edited a historical documentary on
women who dressed as men to fight in the American Civil War; which was
just sold to a distributor in NY, and is finishing his own short movie
he wrote and directed.
