If you’ve got a background in commercial work developing video content for clients seeking Web or CD delivery, you’ve certainly got a good foundation for adding DVD to your bag of tricks. But developing projects for DVD, and working effectively with clients seeking DVD delivery means staying several steps ahead of them in many of DVD’s intricacies—knowing what’s available for motion menus and titles, how it would suit their project, and how to deliver it; knowing the cost and capacity difference between DVD-5 and DVD-9 and which suits a given project best; having equipment essential to the job, like DVD emulators and recorders, and a host of other DVD-specific issues. This session provides a whirlwind tour of a working DVD production business and what you’ll need to know to start one.
